I’m sure you’ve read Jim Collin’s book Good To Great. If not, it’s awesome and you. Through 20 years of research, he identified key patterns that big companies that became great had versus their counterparts.

There were no coaching and consulting companies and we don’t have 20 years to research, so we have to improvise.

A good coaching or consulting company has:

  • a great coach or consultant at the helm
  • one-off success stories
  • a few clients
  • a nice price with inconsistent cashflow
  • a word-of-mouth waiting to be discovered marketing strategy

A great coaching or consulting company has:

  • a great CEO at the helm who is still a great coach or consultant
  • a framework for creating certain success for/with clients
  • more clients with greater impact
  • great pricing and consistent cashflow
  • a predictable marketing for attracting leads and sales systems to close them
